What type of jobs do we hire for?

Temporary

We define temporary work as having a start and end date. The dates may not be exact, but these are defined time frame.

Temp jobs are typically designed to cover a specific purpose for our clients. Examples could be to cover a leave of absence, a peak in business, vacation coverage, seasonal jobs, or a special project. Every client handles it differently. Temporary work can also be indefinite in length. This doesn’t mean these positions can’t result in something long term, but the intent is that the assignment has a shelf life. This might be good for you if you’re not sure what you want to do, or just need something for a period of time. With temporary work, you’re working on an assignment as an AccuStaff talent.

Temp-to-Hire

Temp-to-Hire is similar to temporary jobs, but with the intended option that our client is looking for someone long term to fill their specific need. Temp-to-hire is never a guarantee, you have to earn the role. There are a lot of other factors related to their business needs, and your job search that come into play. All things being equal, some candidates think of a temp to hire role as a “foot in the door” or “probation” period where they can try a business out before making a long term commitment. We liken it to a long term job opportunity. See what you can make of that chance to flourish!

Direct Hire

These are positions where our client wants to have you on their payroll at the point of hire. It means that you are not an AccuStaff employee; you would become our client’s employee on day one of that long term job (full time or part time). Different businesses elect this option based on the needs and goals of their organizational. Many times these are what people might call “Mission Critical” type of roles. The process is similar in that there is still a formal vetting and interview process, but the end result is a little different. Direct Hire roles may also be called Permanent Placement or Perm roles.

Human Resources Coordinator

Location - Johnstown, NY
Pay $20-$21/Hr DOE

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist for a client located in Johnstown, NY for a temp to perm assignment. This is an interactive position requiring strong interpersonal communication skills.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Human Resources Office Assistant to join our team. This position requires prior experience in human resources office functions and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality while supporting HR operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, customer service oriented, and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Maintain confidentiality of all HR files, records, and sensitive information.
Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department.
Organize and manage personnel files and other HR-related documentation.
Assist with employee inquiries, ensuring professional and courteous customer service.
Analyze information and help develop or propose appropriate solutions to HR-related issues.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and other HR processes as needed.
Maintain accurate data entry and record keeping for compliance purposes.

Requirements:

Previous Human Resources office experience is required (must be clearly demonstrated on resume).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Customer service orientation with a professional demeanor.
Ability to analyze information, problem-solve, and recommend solutions.

Accountant

AccuStaff is seeking an Accountant for a long term position with a client located in Albany.

$24.50/hr

EXPECTED DUTIES/TASKS:

Duties and responsibilities include monitoring the compliance of Federal and State rules and regulations for Federal grant awards and assisting with contract closeouts.
Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Track receipt of required documentation and follow-up with internal fiscal staff and providers as necessary;
- Review provider submitted financial reports for accuracy and fidelity to approved budget/award;
- Work with agency fiscal staff and providers as necessary to resolve discrepancies in claims;
- Identify problem areas and trends and develop solutions;
- Assist in special studies with relation to fiscal internal controls and processes;
- Prepare fiscal summary reports and analyses for OMH fiscal staff;
- Work with agency finance staff to track and monitor expenditures and status of grant awards to ensure that funds are used efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with federal fiscal guidelines;
- Assist agency finance staff with contract reviews to ensure proper documentation is received prior to contract execution;
- Assist Contracts team with claim reviews using financial system generated control points for of annual direct contract closeouts.
- Assist Contracts team with encumbrance related assignments for Direct Contracts on a quarterly basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, economics, finance, public administration, or a related field or equivalent in education and experience;

AND

Two years of professional experience in the field of accounting, auditing, finance, economic, fiscal or statistical research; policy analysis; or quantitative, business, market or financial analysis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Prior experience with federal grant regulations
Prior experience with federal grant claims and reimbursements

Warehouse Worker/Trainer

Location: Amsterdam, NY

Pay: $21/25/hr

We’re looking for a hands-on Warehouse Worker who will also be a Trainer to join our 2nd shift team. In this role, you’ll train new hires on warehouse processes and equipment, while also working alongside the team to keep operations moving.

What You’ll Do:

Train employees on safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.
Deliver structured onboarding & provide real-time feedback.
Perform general warehouse tasks when not training.
Build positive relationships and encourage team success.

What We’re Looking For:

1–3 years of warehouse experience (training experience a plus).
Clear communication skills (bilingual a plus).
Patient, positive, and empathetic with strong attention to detail.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet.

Warehouse Work

Location - Albany, NY
Pay $18/hr

1st Shift- full time

We’re recruiting for general warehouse help for clients in Albany. This is for a temp to hire, first shift role, handling picking, packing, shipping and/or receiving duties for a distribution hub. You'll accurately and efficiently select, pack, and prepare product for shipment. We're seeking people with prior order selector, or packaging experience from other warehouse environments. These are full time positions with long term possibilities.
