We are seeking to fill administrative assistant positions in the Albany Region.  Candidates should be dependable, highly-motivated individuals and able to work in a fast paced, high volume office environment.  This is not a remote position.


 Responsibilities: Primary duties include the managing of special projects, including the creation of a policy and procedure manual and daily data entry operations. Candidate will occasionally perform supervisory responsibilities for the Bureau Coordinator, including the processing of referrals received from the New York State Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs. Perform related duties as required.

Job Site Description:  The Criminal History and Records Bureau is responsible for assisting various facility types in New York State complete mandated Criminal History Record Checks. It is also responsible for the maintenance of the New York State Home Care Registry which retains information about the training and employ-ability status of Home Care workers throughout the state. The candidate will be primarily assigned to the Criminal History Record Check program.

Minimum Qualifications: Well organized, detail oriented, excellent verbal and written communication, and able to work alone or as part of a team. Must have prior experience supervising. Proficiency working with Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, Outlook and Sharepoint applications.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a fast-paced setting with the ability to multi-task and work in complex databases. Experience in effectively communicating with consumers and providers.
