People are impressionable. Every day we see things, notice things, observe the actions of others and take mental photographs or notes on what happens around us. Some of it is immediately processed, some of it takes time and is quietly digested into our unconscious minds. You watch a stranger sip a cup of coffee in an odd manner, and it sticks with you. Someone treats another employee in a way that ruffles your moral compass, and you begin to look at both in a different light.

There are people who (successfully) fly by the seat of their pants day in and day out for most of their adult lives. While we don’t recommend it, it works for some folks. These folks may thrive off of the insecurity of knowing what’s next, and how they might be able to adapt on the fly.

Just Pick One

There’s a few ways you can interpret a title like that, depending on where you place the emphasis, who’s saying it, or even the context. Is it the impatient “JUUUST pick one?” or perhaps it’s “Just pick ONE,” as in the kid at the toy store that wants everything but can’t decide. For the purpose of our messaging here, we’ll talk about the later.
